POST /v1/classify is billed per URL. URLs the index does not hold return status unknown. Semantic search over the live index, billed when your search completes. A completed search with zero results still bills; a query we can’t process (422) or an upstream failure (503) never bills. See Search for request and response shapes.

Credits

Credits are prepaid. Check your balance and buy more from your account dashboard. GET /v1/balance returns credits_remaining, the same figure the X-Credits-Remaining header carries on every metered response.
